Sarah & Mark’s Middlethorpe Hall Wedding Photography Highlights
14th August 2016
It was another new venue Saturday this weekend as we headed the short distance from home to York for a very lovely Middlethorpe Hall wedding. Middlethorpe Hall is a stunning 18th century building, a very fine hotel and restaurant and, as a National Trust property, only hosts a handful of wedding each year, so we were especially pleased that Sarah and Mark had chosen it to celebrate their special day. Also, not only was it Sarah and Mark’s wedding day, but also Sarah’s 30th birthday. A birthday she will never forget!
We didn’t have far to travel for the wedding service itself either. After both Sarah and Mark spent the pre-wedding hours getting ready with their entourages at Middlethorpe Hall (keep an eye out for a very special wedding/birthday gift from Mark to Sarah), it was down the road to St Andrew’s in Bishopthorpe for a beautiful service where they both did an impressive job of fighting back the tears at the bottom of the aisle…..just!
They exited the church, freshly wed and looking AMAZING, into beautiful sunshine and the arms of family & friends before the short trip back to Middlethorpe Hall to get the party started. Everything was perfect for them – the weather, the location, the people, the food and music. We managed to steal them away for a short while for some couple photos and also some of family and friends who had traveled from far and wide for this special occasion. Otherwise we let the celebrations take their course – some really great speeches, an impressive first dance (far removed from the usual shuffle!) and a booming evening party.
We left with a final night-time shot of Sarah and Mark in front of a twinkling Middlethorpe Hall and the hope that we will be back there soon! We had a really lovely day with such a warm and fun couple. We wish them every happiness for their future together, and a flipping good honeymoon to get things started!. Enjoy a few of the highlights below! R&C x
