Sarah & Richard’s Black Swan Helmsley Wedding Photography Highlights
24th August 2016
Wedding season is well and truly catching up on us and we have a few wedding blogs to catch up on! A few weekends ago we had the pleasure of photographing Sarah and Richard’s Black Swan Helmsley wedding on the edge of the beautiful North York Moors. Helmsley is a gorgeous little market town, always thronging with locals and visitors on a Summer Saturday, as well as the hundreds of motor cyclists that stop off here. It’s a town full of tea shops, antique dealers, hanging baskets and beautiful cottages, as well as a ruined castle – and therefore a favourite place of ours for bride and groom photos. The Black Swan sits proudly on the Market Square and is a fabulous hotel & restaurant with a great tea shop and beautiful gardens.
The weather was perfect and after the lovely marriage ceremony Sarah, Richard and their guests headed out into the Black Swan garden for drinks, games and fun. The wedding was based around an Alice in Wonderland theme – see how many references you can find below! Sarah and Richard braved the Helmsley crowds with us for couple photos before heading back for some family pics and more mingling before dinner and some hilarious speeches.
The warm, hazy Summer evening, coupled with an acoustic guitarist and singer, was crying out for a first dance on the lawn – and that’s just what they did. Proper feel-good stuff!
We had such a good day with lovely people and plenty of laughs. We hope you enjoy some of the highlights below. Massive congratulations to Sarah and Richard.
