Aspire Leeds Wedding Photography – Mandy & Danny

3rd August 2016
Sunset bride and groom

This was our second visit to photograph a city centre Aspire Leeds wedding and it was for the marriage celebration of two of the funniest, friendliest people we’ve had the pleasure to work with – Mandy & Danny – surrounded by their beautiful children and awesome family & friends.

Aspire Leeds is an amazing setting for a wedding. It’s a beautifully restored and ornate 18th century building, complete with exterior spires and gargoyles and on the inside it boasts a huge, light, contemporary space on two levels – perfect for wedding ceremonies and the eating, drinking and partying that takes place afterwards. It’s a joy to photograph there, especially with such a cool couple to complement the venue!

We’d also done Mandy & Danny’s pre-wedding shoot in central Leeds a few months earlier and that was so much fun – we knew we were in for a good day! Mandy and the girls got ready at home with the boys slightly nearer at Quebecs hotel, just over the road from Aspire. The wedding ceremony took place in front of Aspire’s huge windows and was packed full of emotion and laughter, after which we stole Mandy & Danny away for 30 minutes and headed up the road into the city for some bride and groom portraits before returning for some fun family photos (spot the cool kids).

By this time the lower floor had been magically transformed for the wedding breakfast and looked stunning with mirrored tables and candles. We then had a short (and at times tongue in cheek) Jewish wedding ceremony under the Chuppa conducting by Mandy’s brother before a set of really lovely speeches.

The evening do was kicked off with some intense high tempo Israeli dancing which we managed to survive with camera gear intact (just!). It was such a fun day and we were made to feel very welcome. Massive love and congratulations to Mandy & Danny and their beautiful family. Thanks for having us!
