We love York weddings – particularly if we have the opportunity to do a circuit of the Minster area. Not only does it offer beautiful locations and a great variety of backgrounds and textures, but it also creates a real buzz with the tourists who stand agape as the bride and groom do their thing. It’s quite a magical, heart-warming experience! Although Lizzie & Paul were married and had their Reception outside the centre of York, they didn’t take much convincing to go on a slight detour! The standing ovation from a group of South American school children as Lizzie & Paul walked through Dean’s Park capped an extremely fun couple shoot.
It’s fair to say that we have rarely seen a couple so visibly full of excitement at the arrival of their wedding day. Lizzie was literally skipping around the hotel in her dressing gown in the morning. Beaming smiles and giggles all round – all day. The wedding service took place at the Church of the Holy Redeemer in Acomb with the wedding reception at the nearby York Marriott. Such a lovely, warm, carefree couple and fantastic family and friends who made us feel very welcome. Definitely what you would call a “feel-good” wedding.
Lizzie & Paul are off to the Big Apple tomorrow on honeymoon – we wish them every happiness together and we hope they (and you!) enjoy a few of the highlights from their very special day.
