Last Saturday saw our second visit of the year to a Denton Hall wedding – one of our favourite places – and it was for the celebration of Louisa & Sam’s wedding that had taken place earlier in the day in a lovely service at Holy Name church in North Leeds.
We’d got to know Louisa and Sam well in the run up to their wedding, not least during their engagement shoot at Fountains Abbey last year, and have grown to like them very much. A warm, fun, friendly couple, absolutely made for each other. On the wedding morning we covered Louisa and family’s preparations in Leeds as well as the boys getting ready (and taking part in a bit of Dutch courage) back at Denton Hall. After a pretty awful forecast, the weather more or less played ball and after Louisa and Sam emerged from the church, freshly wed, the sun made an appearance and the rain disappeared until later that night.
The Denton Hall wedding reception was loud and lively and it has to be said we don’t think we’ve ever seen as much confetti! The bride and groom and the group photos were great fun with plenty of laughs and then it was off to the wedding breakfast and a chance for the guests to sample the culinary delights provided by lip-smacking Box Tree Events. Great food, great speeches, followed by a floor-shaking evening party under the chandeliers of Denton Hall. What more could you want?
Here are some of the highlights of a great day. Our heartfelt thanks and congratulations as always to two very special people, Louisa and Sam. Thanks for having us! R&C x
