They know how to party at Indian weddings and we left this Oulton Hall wedding on Saturday night with ears ringing and with a big smile on our faces. Mala’s family even have their own DJ who has entertained at family events for many years, and he and his crew had the entire place bouncing well into the night (evidence below). It had been quite a day!
As well as the Oulton Hall wedding on Saturday, Mala’s parents had been planning a big family celebration at their home on Sunday and it was dressed beautifully when I arrived for bridal preparations. While I photographed the girls getting ready there, Caroline headed to Oulton Hall to meet up with the very dapper groom, John and best woman Rebecca and to see the guests arriving.
Mala arrived bang on time looking radiant and all set for the ceremony which was as colourful as it was touching. The rest of the afternoon flew by: out into the lovely early Spring sunshine for couple photos, confetti and group shots, plenty of photos of the guests celebrating and the details of a very fine looking wedding breakfast room, and before we knew it the bridesmaids, parents and Mala and John (accompanied by a traditional drummer) were all announced into the room for speeches and dinner.
A break for refreshment and a chance to catch up with one of our good and very talented videographer friends, Mark Lenik, and then the party really got started…
Here are some of our favourites from a magical Oulton Hall wedding. Love and congratulations to Mala & John!
