Becky & Ben’s Gorgeous Garden Marquee Wedding in East Yorkshire
16th September 2014
There’s just something about Yorkshire that pulls people home time and time again. We have had the pleasure of photographing a number of weddings this year where our clients live and work in London, but head home (home for one of them at least) to Yorkshire for the biggest day of their lives – and so it was with Becky and Ben. Becky’s family live in rural East Yorkshire and after their lovely wedding service in Brantingham, they held their Reception in a marquee on the farm. These sort of weddings are so very personal, family-oriented and heart-warming and we loved every minute of this one.
Becky and her bridesmaids spent the morning of the big day getting ready at her parents’ house while Ben and the boys spruced themselves up at nearby Cave Castle. Unfortunately the vicar at the church restricted us in how much of the service we could capture so we had to settle for a few discrete shots from the back. We more than made up for it later though with bride and groom photos around Brantingham and, after dinner, on the farm, and with oodles of candid and detail photography during the Reception. A huge amount of effort was spent decorating the marquee and the surrounding space and we hope we’ve managed to do it justice. The speeches were brilliant and the party immense. We left down the drive adorned with twinkly lights and candles, feeling very happy to have been involved in such a wonderful day. Thanks, love and congratulations to two very lovely people.
