First of all – a very Happy New Year to everyone! We hope you had a fun and relaxing Christmas and New Year. 2013 is already looking like it is going to be quite a year for us, but before we get started we still have quite a few lovely December weddings to blog.
The first of 2012’s festive weddings saw us at Yorkshire’s stunning Carlton Towers, the ancestral home of the Duke of Norfolk. For wedding photography, Carlton Towers is the dream venue. A beautifully ornate and atmospheric interior coupled with lovely, intricate gardens, a magnificent exterior and one of the best stairway entrances there is. Luckily Laura and James had a beautiful, crisp and sunny Winter’s day for their wedding so we were able to make best use of everything on offer.
Laura and James have a beautiful story. Laura from London, and James from Otley in West Yorkshire, met in the US where they were both working for their respective employers. Slight hitch though – one was based in New York and the other in San Francisco. So the early years of their relationship were spent flying across the entire continent every weekend to be with each other! Now both based in London, they decided to get married back on James’ home turf.
Their wedding was gorgeous in every way: from the dress to the venue dressing to the ceremony to the wedding breakfast and speeches. In order to do a venue like this justice, it has to be dressed impeccably; and who better than the amazing Horticouture. The meticulous planning and execution that goes into what these guys do is truly impressive. Check out some of the images below.
It was an amazing and hugely enjoyable day and we hope you enjoy the selection of photographs here. Huge thanks to Laura and James for having us along!
